Commentary:

This article provides a slide show of 8 different reasons beyond keeping your bright smile, of brushing correctly and regularly.  It’s a surprising list.  One of the most interesting side effects associated with poor brushing habits is dementia, as reported by the University of California.  They didn’t particularly prove that poor brushing leads to dementia, just that the two are associated.  Watch the slide show for other benefits of brushing regularly.
