However, those studies did not examine the associations among diabetes, periodontal disease, and cardiovascular risk.   Meanwhile, separate studies examining dental care and cardiovascular disease risk have had inconsistent results, though several suggested a moderate correlation between poor dental care and cardiovascular disease risk.”
