Dr. Rodney Chowning
Dr. Rodney Chowning has practiced comprehensive implant and restorative dentistry in Denton, Texas since 1995. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Chowning’s expertise focuses on all phases of aesthetics and implant dentistry (surgical & prosthetics) with a special emphasis on sedation dentistry.
Dr. Chowning is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Chowning is a member of the American Dental Association, The Texas Dental Association, The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, The Denton County Dental Society.
Dr. Chowning earned his B.A. degree from Baylor University and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. During his academic career he earned several NIH/NIDR academic research grants and clinical externships and was on the dean's list. He completed a mini residency in advanced dental anesthesia and sedation at the University of Alabama Birmingham Dental School and an advanced training preceptorship in dental implantology at the University of Texas Dental School in San Antonio. Dr. Chowning has also studied extensively at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, in Key Biscayne, Fl.
Dr. Chowning and his wife, Laurie, have 2 wonderful children and have been involved in numerous church and community organizations over their many years in Denton. They are members of First Baptist Church in Denton where Dr. Chowning serves as a deacon and he and his wife taught Sunday school for many years. Dr. Chowning has been involved as a coach in Denton Soccer Association, and served as part time staff of the Texas Women's University Hygiene School for two years. Dr. Chowning was voted one of Texas Super Dentists in the Texas Monthly’s 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Choice Awards.
Dr. Chowning enjoys spending time with family, running, mountain biking, and travel. Dr. Chowning also has a passion for dental mission work and has served on many mission trips to Guatemala and Romania through ServingHim.
Dr. Bryan Moore
A Dallas native, Dr. Moore received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry. He then continued his training with an additional year in a general practice residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During his residency he received advanced training in dental and implant surgery, as well as sedation procedures.
Since Dr. Moore’s return to Dallas, he has focused much of his attention on expanding the scope of procedures offered to patients in the general dental practice. His practice enables patients to receive safe and caring surgical treatment, with predictable surgical techniques, in a comfortable and familiar setting.
Dr. David Canfield
Dr. Canfield is a Dental Anesthesiologist that works with our office providing deep sedation / general anesthesia for our patients. He received his dental degree from UCLA and completed a comprehensive residency in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a fellow in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is an anesthesia consultant for the Texas Department of Mental Health & Mental Retardation and The VA Medical Center. He maintains a private anesthesiology practice in the D/FW area.
