Commentary:

Sleep apnea is hard to detect.  One out of 15 of us have sleep apnea and find ourselves perhaps getting enough sleep, but without our knowing it, are suffering from a lack of quality sleep.  The symptoms of sleep apnea can even be difficult for a doctor to detect, unless you ask specifically for diagnostic testing.  Your dentist, however, can, in some cases, spot it readily by looking for evidence of you grinding your teeth during sleep.

So, next time you see a Dentist be sure and confirm whether or not you are grinding your teeth!
