Commentary:
They are organic, based on fruit and vegetables and no sugar is added, so these new squeezable fruit puree snacks may appear to be just the thing for your child. “Not so” say some dentists in this article. There are two problems. The lack of natural fiber in these snacks renders the natural sugar in them as dangerous as eating raw sugar. Children also tend to walk around consuming them for extended periods of time, continually coating thier teeth with those sugar laden fruit juices. You can chalk up yet another apparently healthy snack to the “junk food” category.
