Are you allergic to latex? If you are it is imperative that you notify your dentist before your first visit so the dental staff can make important adjustments to treatment to avoid a reaction. According to this article, latex sensitivity can lead to a number of minor complications such as hives, to more reactions such as anaphylaxis, which can be dangerous.
