Invisalign’s SmileView is a New Way to Preview Your Straightened Smile

We are thrilled to announce a new feature from Invisalign that allows you to see a simulation of what your smile would look like if you straightened your teeth.  We know that it is difficult to envision the changes straight teeth would make to your smile and your overall appearance.  Could you really achieve your dream smile with Invisalign?

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is the most discreet way to straighten your teeth.  It is a form of orthodontic treatment that uses closely fitting clear aligners instead of traditional brackets and wires.  While braces use pressure from the wires to pull your teeth into position, Invisalign’s aligners use pressure from the inside of the aligners to push your teeth into position.

Invisalign aligners are removable, enabling you to take them out of your mouth for eating, drinking anything besides water, and cleaning your teeth.  You can also remove them when needed for photo sessions, speeches, or special events.

The intimate fit of the aligners makes them virtually invisible, so no one will realize you are slowly straightening your teeth.

Typical Invisalign treatment for adults takes about a year and a half.  The length of treatment depends on how much movement you need to straighten your teeth.  The more crowded or crooked they are, the longer it will take.  Minor crowding can take as little as three to six months.

What is SmileView?

Invisalign’s new SmileView uses the smartphone feature that has become so familiar to all of us: the selfie!  SmileView takes the selfie that you submit (with teeth showing, of course) and virtually straightens the teeth.  The simulation shows you what your smile could look like if the teeth were in proper alignment.

Many people are uncertain about the investment of both time and money that Invisalign requires.  SmileView enables you to see the payoff of that investment before you begin your treatment.
