A gift brought by one of the Kings for baby Jesus was frankincense.  Today, it is known as boswellia serrata (boswellia for short), which is a gummy resin scraped from the boswellia tree. found in India.  It is actively being researched today as an anti-inflammatory agent and is considered to be a natural remedy for a number of ailments.  It may even inhibit the growth of certain types of cancer.
