Commentary:
Most of us are well aware of the health benefits of tea, especially green tea. The catch, though, may be that using sugar or cream with it may hinder those beneficial effects. This article examines this question with the details on the latest research and suggestions on what you should consider for those favorite little additions to your daily tea. Frankly I’ve never used cream or sugar with tea or coffee because it leaves my stomach with an uneasy feeling. Perhaps this research is the reason I’ve felt that way.
NOTE – the wonderful pot of tea in the image above is The Emperor’s Himalayan lavender tea, a popular treat at Washington, D.C.’s Park Hyatt Tea Room, but please don’t put milk in it.
