You’ve probably heard this on TV – that our average family budgets are suffering because we just can’t do without our favorite smart phones toy. According to this article, that is partially true – spending on phones has gone up while spending on other things has gone down. The big culprits however, that take most of our expenses are the same as they have been for decades though: housing, healthcare, and education.
