Commentary:
It’s a shame that baseball and softball are so traditionally associated with chewing tobacco and snuff. Use of tobacco in this form, which may seemingly be risk free, can actually lead to oral cancer, tooth decay, or periodontal disease, not to mention nicotine addiction.
This article announces a campagn for bringing attention to this issue – and organizing young players to get involved in raising the alarm.
